Gilbert, Arizona – Country-rap singer-songwriter Colt Ford, 53, suffered a heart attack Thursday night after performing at Dierk’s Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona.

He was immediately transported to Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, where he is currently being treated in the intensive care unit.

Originally from Athens, Colt Ford is a renowned multi-platinum singer-songwriter. One of his notable accomplishments is Jason’s recording of Aldean’s “Dirt Road His Anthem,” for which he has amassed over 927 million streams worldwide.

Ford burst onto the scene in 2008 with the album. Let’s run through the countryside.

By 2019, Ford had achieved great success, reaching the top 10 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart five times in a row.

His album “Declaration of Independence” debuted at number one in 2012, followed by “Thanks for Listening,” which reached the top 10 of the top 200 and topped Billboard Rap. It also reached number 1 on the independent charts. Additionally, six of his songs, including “Back”, ranked on the Hot Country Songs chart. [feat. Jake Owen] It broke into the top 40.

Ford was born Jason Farris Brown. He began writing songs at the age of 12, and his musical inspirations were Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, and Elvis Presley.

In addition to his music career, Ford once toured nationally as a professional golfer. Before he became a professional golfer, he played college golf for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Ford has faced several health challenges in recent years, including eye cancer and the autoimmune disease myasthenia gravis.
