RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Raynham Fire and Police Department and two good Samaritans reunited with a 59-year-old man who was revived after suffering a heart attack while jogging.

John Horgan suffered a heart attack on March 10 while jogging on King Philip Street.

Bystanders Daniel Vlakos and Kelsi Korzeniowski performed CPR on Hogan, and a third bystander called 911.

Fire Chief Brian LaCivita said the three people who helped Mr. Hogan include Raynham Firefighter/Paramedic Tab Shumway, Raynham Firefighter Lt. Bradford Carr, Raynham Firefighter/Paramedic Salvatore Imprecia, and Raynham Firefighter/Paramedic Salvatore Imprecia. Firefighter/paramedic Michael Haggerty, Raynham Firefighter/, was presented with a certificate of commendation. EMT Joseph Gill and Raynham Police Officer Josh O’Brien.

Hogan thanked everyone who helped save his life that day.

“It’s amazing when people come together to do something for someone they don’t know personally. That’s just the magic of being a good person and doing the right thing,” Hogan said.
