The Jackson Heart Research Community Engagement Center (CEC) supports Jackson Heart Research’s efforts to promote heart health within targeted communities in the Jackson metropolitan area.

With its Community Health Worker (CHW) Program, CEC is thoughtfully and innovatively working to advance heart disease prevention through evidence-based programs and activities. Our CHWs include CEC staff and community partners from public housing, faith-based organizations, local governments, and businesses that provide testing, education, and promote health awareness and healthy lifestyles.
