Gundersen St. Joseph University will be offering free health screenings on Tuesday, April 16th at the La Vallee Center and on Wednesday, April 24th at the Elroy Clinic Community Room.

Reservations can be made from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on both days.

The screening consists of a free cholesterol panel and a fasting glucose test, both of which require a single finger blood sample, and can help indicate unknown health conditions such as high cholesterol or diabetes risk. Individuals can also check their blood pressure and BMI, eat healthy snacks, and chat one-on-one with staff about advanced care plans, social services, and financial assistance.

The free health check-ups are designed to help individuals learn about managing their health and reduce their risk of developing chronic diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. All of these conditions can lead to serious illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, and heart disease. heart attack, chronic kidney disease, etc.

Cholesterol and fasting blood sugar tests require a 9-hour fast before testing. Free health exams are by appointment only and take approximately 20 minutes.
