ACC 73rd Annual Scientific Sessions & Expo, ACC.24, will be held from April 6th to 8th, 2024 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. This year’s theme is “Advances in Cardiovascular Care for All,” bringing you the latest breakthroughs and cutting-edge clinical trials that are changing the medical landscape.

Scientific sessions and expo coincide with ACC’s 75th anniversary celebrations^th Special events are planned to commemorate this milestone, including the first-ever Giving Day on April 6th and a commemorative post-convocation reception on April 8th.

“This is an incredibly exciting year for the American College of Cardiology. It is the 75th anniversary of the founding of the ACC,” said ACC24 Chair Douglas Drachman, MD, FACC, at a recent press conference. “The ACC Conference on April 6th will host the first-ever ACC Giving Day. We are proud that our memorial gift supports the University’s mission and supports the next generation of cardiovascular innovators through scholarship, mentorship, and leadership development programs. We hope it will help you support our mission-focused work that empowers future leaders.

ACC24 in numbers

This year’s teaching lineup includes 1,520 teachers, 197 of whom are international teachers. 17 traditional classrooms with over 200 structured sessions. 7 guideline-specific sessions. 11 learning pathways. and one ACC Anywhere event. Drachman said the number of applications for scientific posters and sessions was the highest since his 2004. “This is truly the absolute blockbuster of the year. We had 1,100 more abstracts submitted this year than last year and 2,300 more than ACC22,” he said. “And from what I understand, this is the largest number of cases we’ve seen since ACC04, or maybe even before that.”

A total of over 7,600 posters were submitted, of which over 4,600 were accepted. Countries with the highest number of submissions include China, Japan, Brazil, India, and Mexico. We received 103 applications for the Young Investigator Award and 15 were accepted. New this year is Silent Poster Theater. ACC24 Concentration: Business of Cardiology

The ACC24 Annual Meeting will feature intensive sessions focused on new growth areas in cardiovascular practice and ways to advance understanding in specific areas of concentration. “So far we’ve had 275 minute sessions with him, but this year we thought we’d double that. He’ll actually do twice as many intensive sessions.” he said Drachman. “This year will consist of four sessions and will focus on the field of cardiology, which we believe is of great importance to all cardiovascular clinicians and practitioners.”
