FORT WORTH, March 18, 2024 – The American Heart Association held its annual Tarrant County Go Red for Women® Experience and Luncheon on March 1st.. The event helped raise nearly $800,000, and donations will continue to accumulate through June as part of the association’s Tarrant County Go Red annual effort. The event, sponsored nationally by CVS Health and locally by Texas Health, was held at the Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel in the heart of North Texas. Heart disease kills one in three women each year and remains the number one killer of women in the U.S., and advocates and others are working to spread awareness about the impact heart disease has on women. The survivors gathered.

“When faced with cardiovascular disease, strong connections mean women don’t have to face it alone. Red flagging each other means we’re all in this fight together.” ,” said Jill Griffith, senior vice president of North Texas and Southwest Regional Development. “Our Tarrant County supporters and volunteers, our incredibly brave survivors, and all those who are standing with us as part of this movement, we hope that we will work together and protect each other from each other.” By learning, we demonstrate how women can drive change.”

“The Go Red Movement is here for the health and well-being of women at every age, stage, and season of life,” she continued. “And our annual luncheon is the culmination of this movement each year. By uniting and supporting the women of our community, we can make a lasting impact in Tarrant County and beyond.”

Since 2004, the Society has been addressing gaps in clinical care and lack of awareness regarding women’s heart health, and this year’s experience centered around that work. Covering the past 20 years of progress and looking to the future of the movement, guests attended a travel-themed event and witnessed Go Red’s mission take flight. Attendees will use their custom passports to travel between stations around the SpaceJet through personal medical exams and evaluations by Texas Healthcare, hands-on CPR and AED demonstrations by Medical City Healthcare, and extended layover times. , we admired a beautiful display honoring the legacy of leading women who came before. He led this movement in Tarrant County. The destination tour includes a tribute wall where guests honor heart heroes, a puppy station highlighting the heart-healthy benefits of spending time with our furry friends, and how to influence your own health. It also included many educational opportunities to not only learn about , but also how it affects health. The association impacts the health of the community.

This year’s emotional entertainment was a fireside chat hosted by Kidd Craddick on The Morning’s Kelly Raspberry, featuring 2023 Miss North Texas Chloe Burke and current Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker. I appeared. The inaugural Maria Hinz Award for Outstanding Courage was awarded to its namesake, Maria Hinz. Tarrant County 2024 Go Red co-chairs who led the event were Melissa Huffman, vice president of OmniHis Group, and Dr. Monica Masser, chief medical quality officer at Texas Health Alliance. Mayor Matty Parker also served as this year’s honorary chair.

The 2025 Go Red for Women initiative will launch this July as the association celebrates its 100th anniversary, highlighting its rich 100-year history of achievement. The Tarrant County American Heart Association team is actively recruiting key leaders in Fort Worth and surrounding cities who are eager to help take the next step and lead the Tarrant County Go Red Movement and her March 2025 event.
